The Division of Workforce Development and Community Education is pleased to offer a OSHA 10 Construction and Safety Training class.
This course is offered at no cost as part of the Offshore Wind Training Institute: Enhanced Metal Fabrication Pathways for the Offshore Wind Industry in the Capital Region.
This 10-hour construction safety course is intended for entry-level participants. Each student will receive an OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety wallet card upon successful completion. Training is delivered by a recognized OSHA-10 Construction Safety instructor.
Topic areas covered include the mandatory OSHA-10 Construction Safety topics, including, but not limited to:
- The OSHA Focus Four Hazards
- Falls
- Electrocution
- Struck-By (e.g., falling objects, trucks, cranes),
- Caught-In or Between (e.g., trench hazards, equipment)
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Health Hazards in Construction, Excavations and Ladders
